From LILLE, north of France comes a brandnew Rockabilly trio called THE HOODOO TONES ! If you are familiar with the Rhythm Bomb roster this band will remind you on MARC AND THE WILD ONES, THE RAMBLIN BANDITS or TWISTED ROD.
Modern rockabilly sounds, mostly original songs these are the attributes of THE HOODOO TONES ! Rhythm Bomb Records adds another french band to its roster. 'Confessions Of A Loner' features 13 songs, only one cover (TROYCE KEY‘s „'Watch Your Mouth“ ) offer a variety of rockin‘ Rock & Roll, Blues & Country sounds aswell as some ballads, all in the 1950s/ early 1960s spirit.
"Confessions Of A Loner" is a pretty strong album that's well produced and sounds great by a band that is on top of their game. You're gonna want to check this puppy out. Recommended!"
"The tight rockin' sounds captured on Confessions of a Loner will ensure a successful breakthrough on to the international rockabilly scene."
"Keep in mind this is the debuet record of this young, fresh, somehow rebellious band, the future has just started ! The follow up will be a 7 inch [...] in early April 2017."
"To the variety of groups Rhythm Bomb Records counts among its ranks, the well-known label—no stranger to our publication—has welcomed a French addition: The Hoodoo Tones. With their new album, Confessions of a Loner, the trio hails from the North of France—a musically-rich region having already produced the famed Spunyboys and Jake Calypso and His Red Hot! Suggesting a kind of regional mould, the group fashions a punchy style of rockabilly that’s in keeping with the vibe of their fellow Northern rockers. The Hoodoo Tones hold nothing back; energy emanates from all thirteen of their well-oiled tracks! Indeed, their lively songs, “Blue,” “Northern Style,” and “Brokenheart Alley Way” showcase fantastic rhythm, perfect “slap,” and masterful vocals! Kevin, Julian, and Ben gift us with an excellent made-in-France rock ’n’ roll! They will be on the road throughout 2017—don’t miss them at your gatherings, bars, and concert halls!"
